Formation
"Is there anyone here who yearns for life, and desires to see good days?" If you hear this and your answer is "I do," ...» (Rule of St. Benedict, Prologue Verse 15) then seek God with us, in a missionary Benedictine community, in the Secular Institute St. Boniface. Discover God in the world, let Him be present in the world.
"Every time you begin a good work ..." (Rule of St. Benedict, Prologue Verse 4) At the beginning, it is necessary to find out, together, which way of organising the formation period will be most suitable for leading a person towards total surrender to Christ.
"What (...) is more delightful than this voice of the Lord calling to us?" (Rule of St. Benedict, Prologue Verse 19) It is important to take time to get to know the way of life and the spirituality of the community and to experience everyday life in different groups of the community.
"See how the Lord in his love shows us the way of life"
(Rule of St. Benedict, Prologue Verse 20)
The way into the community has three stages.
First stage: Guest within the community (1/2 – 1 year)
Second stage: Period of Spiritual Training (2 years)
Third stage: Time of preparation for the final commitment (consecration of life)
"As we progress in this way of life and in faith, we shall run on the path of God's commandments, our hearts overflowing with the inexpressible delight of love." (Rule of St. Benedict, Prologue Verse 49)
